Registered Nurse – Surgical Oncology
Shifts:
Days/Nights (12-hour) — Rotating availability possible
Contract Length: 16 weeks
Minimum 2 years total acute care nursing experience
At least 1 year of current/active PCU experience within the last 12 months
Licensure: RN must have valid compact or state license in hand at time of submission
Required:
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Preferred: ONS Chemo
Provide patient care in a mixed-acuity surgical oncology unit, including post-operative care for adult and geriatric patients.
Monitor patients using telemetry, recognizing and managing dysrhythmias.
Administer chemotherapy, IV antibiotics, and manage blood transfusions.
Care for patients with chest tubes, tracheostomies, and those requiring BiPAP/CPAP management.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Orientation: 72 hours
Pre-approved time off: one (per posting)
Compliance with fingerprinting and credentialing requirements is essential.
