RN Nurse, ICU Nurse
Medical Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse
The Medical Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse will work night shifts. Nurses will be scheduled for three shifts a week. Every other weekend is required. The estimated patient ratios are 1:1-2. Nurses will provide care for patients with multisystem organ failure, respiratory failure, COVID, sepsis, post-cardiac arrest, diabetic keto acidosis (DKA), liver failure, and renal failure. Proficiency in EPIC documentation system is preferred.
Special procedures include continuous glucose monitoring for hyperglycemia and externalized IV pumps for COVID+ patients. Special equipment knowledge includes NxStage CRRT, Alaris IV Pump, GE Cardiac Monitor, and GE Ventilator. The role requires the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and care of ventilated patients. Nurses will be required to float to different units within the organization as needed. Two professional references are required, with one from a manager or director.
