Neuro ICU Travel Nurse – Adult

Schedule:

• Shift: Day/Night rotation (rotation every 4 weeks)
• Schedule:
  
  3x12-hour shifts; 7:00 AM–7:30 PM or 7:00 PM–7:30 AM (36 hours/week)
• Weekends:
  Every other weekend

Assignment Details:

• Patient ratio:
  Estimated 1:1–1:2

Requirements:

• Minimum: 2 years Neuro ICU experience
• Travel experience:
  Required
• Preferred:
  Trauma Level I experience
• Required certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality care to neurocritical patients.
• Manage ventilator settings and respond to ventilated patient needs.
• Monitor and interpret ICP/EVD readings and manage post-operative care.
• Administer medications and manage arterial/central lines.
• Provide acute management for stroke and CVA patients.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team for comprehensive patient care.

Compliance / Notes:

• Compliance materials must be completed before the start date.
• Fingerprinting required immediately after booking; out-of-state candidates must visit a local site.
• Licensure at submission:
  Valid compact or state license must be in hand.
• Flu vaccine required; medical exemptions only; COVID-19 vaccine NOT required.
• Reference requirements:
  At least one from a manager/director or supervisor.
