James Clinical Resource Unit - ONC/Med Surg Tele EXP - D/N or N. Minimum 2 + years of high acuity Med Surg Tele level or higher required! ONCOLOGY EXPERIENCE PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED!

Special Procedures/Unit Details:

• Comprehensive Cancer Center, 318 acute care beds. All inpatient units/ 36 beds. Units are specialized by cancer diagnosis.
• Floating to Med Surg and PCU Oncology units including: BMT Acute Leukemia Hematology Medical Oncology PCU Oncology Gynecological Oncology Urology Colorectal Surgical Oncology Corrections Healthcare-Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls

Certifications required: ACLS BLS NIHSS

Staffing ratios - PCU is 1:3, can be 1:4 w/ mixed acuity, M/S Tele ideally 1:4 but can be 1:5

Weekends - variable based on unit needs

No set/blocked scheduling as that is not something we offer our permanent staff

First week of orientation is Mon
- Fri dayshift. Five shifts of bedside orientation b/t weeks 2 and 3, then independent

If you accept a 12D/N rotating contract, you may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both, depending on the department’s needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities at that time.

• CXS Permit-Weekend/holiday access to 9th Ave East & West Garages-24/7 access to Buckeye (CX) and West Campus surface lots-$32.83/month
