Medical Oncology Nursing – Oncology

Shifts:

Day/Night Rotating

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience required
• Current acute care experience within the last 12 months
• BLS certification required
• Preferred: ONS Chemo certification
• Valid compact or state RN license

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for adults and geriatrics with solid tumors.
• Administer chemotherapy and manage ports.
• Monitor telemetry and interpret results.
• Perform IV starts, maintenance, and blood product administration.
• Care for patients with medical-surgical issues alongside their oncology needs.
• Implement infection prevention and fall-risk management strategies.

Compliance / Notes:

• Fingerprinting required after contract signing.
• Pre-approved time off must be submitted with the contract.
