Must-Have:
Proficient in IV starts. Experience with telemetry monitoring. Experience in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
Description:
This position is within the Emergency Department. The unit specializes in meeting the urgent and complex needs of cancer patients. The role requires floating to various departments as needed. Staffing involves an interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, radiology, and pharmacy. The nurse will manage patients of diverse age groups, including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Patient ratio is typically 1:4. Experience with IV vasopressors and management of dysrhythmias is preferred.
Candidates must be current in acute care experience in Emergency Department settings. All candidates must be compliant and fulfill credentialing requirements as directed. References from previous employers are required. No coworker references will be accepted. Educators must be from accredited nursing programs.
