Registered Nurse (RN) - MICU

Registered Nurse – Medical Intensive Care Unit

Schedule:

Nights (3x12) Every other weekend

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Medical ICU experience required
• EPIC experience required
• Required certifications: BCLS (BLS), ACLS, NIHSS — AHA certifications only
• Key clinical skills:
• Ventilator management / care of ventilated patients
• IV starts and management (including continuous IV sedation)
• Telemetry monitoring; dysrhythmia interpretation & management
• Experience with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Familiarity with CRRT (NxStage) and Alaris pumps

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in the Medical Intensive Care Unit.
• Monitor and manage patients with respiratory failure, sepsis, and other severe health conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and treatment plans.

Compliance / Notes:

• Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting immediately after signing the contract.
• RTO must be included with submission and built into the contract.
• COVID-19 vaccine is not required; flu vaccine is required (medical exemptions only).
