American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN with a minimum of 3 years of experience and required EPIC charting proficiency for a hospital-based position requiring on-call availability.
Details- Work in a Level 2 Cath Lab, EP Lab, and Vascular Angiogram/IR setting within a hospital
- Care for patients with AMI, STEMI, NSTEMI, EP devices, heart arrhythmias, PAD, and PVD
- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, PCI, EP device changeouts/upgrades, ICD and pacer procedures, and simple IR procedures
- Utilize specialized equipment including Impella, IABP, temporary pacer, Shockwave, DFR, IVUS, and FFR
- Choice of 4x9-hour shifts (36 hrs/wk) or 5x8-hour shifts (40 hrs/wk), Monday through Friday, starting at 7:00am or 7:45am
- On-call required one night per week and every 4th weekend
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Active RN license (Ohio state or compact) required in hand at time of consideration
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- CCI RCIS certification preferred
- Minimum 3 years of Cath Lab experience required
- Pre/Post Op experience required
- Community hospital and Trauma Level II experience preferred
- Previous Charge RN experience preferred
- Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Skilled in sheath removal/monitoring, vascular closure systems, angioplasty, and 12-lead EKG interpretation
- Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, PCI, and IABP placement/removal
- Responsibilities include circulating and scrubbing for cardiac cath lab and EP procedures, monitoring procedural sedation, and administering emergency medications
- Skilled in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, cardioversion, and infection prevention/isolation precautions
- Two professional references required, with at least one from a Manager/Director or formal leadership role;
Charge RN acceptable as second reference, no coworker references accepted - Former employees eligible for travel assignment after being away from the facility for 6 months or more
- Current employees of any Ohio State University hospital location are ineligible for travel assignments
- RTO must be requested and built into the contract at time of submission, limited to 7 days or less
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate
- Ohio fingerprinting process must be completed urgently upon contract signing; candidates outside Ohio but within driving distance must travel to a fingerprinting location, while those farther away will receive a mailed fingerprinting packet
