Job Description:

• Minimum of 2 years postpartum nursing experience
• Experience in Labor & Delivery and IV start skills required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Certifications:
  
  BLS, IV certification
• Telemetry interpretation required; RN must pass EKG exam prior to start

• Provide comprehensive care to postpartum patients and healthy newborns, including those with specific needs such as NAS.
• Monitor and manage postpartum complications, including postpartum hemorrhage and preeclampsia.
• Conduct newborn assessments and therapies, including phototherapy and management of hypoglycemia.
• Administer IV therapy, including antibiotics as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams for optimal patient care.
• Float to similar-acuity units as required.

Compliance / Notes:

• Orientation: 36 hours
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Pre-approved time off: 2 days per contract
• Fingerprinting to be completed immediately after booking
