Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU

PCU Float Pool – Nursing

Schedule:

Shift: Nights

Requirements:

• 2 years RN experience (1-2 years may be considered with manager review)
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Experience with cardiac telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia recognition
• Familiarity with IV start and peripheral/PICC line care
• Experience with management of arterial/central lines and blood products
• Familiarity with HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP, and tracheostomy care
• Proficiency in EPIC charting system

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a progressive care unit or step-down setting.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and respond to changes in status.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV therapies and blood products.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
• Participate in the rapid response team and manage emergency situations as needed.

Compliance / Notes:

• Orientation is 36 hours.
• COVID-19 vaccine is not required; flu vaccine is required (medical exemptions only).
• Pre-approved time off: two shifts as listed.
• Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting as a part of the hiring process.
