Registered Nurse – Oncology Telemetry
Schedule:
12-hour days/nights rotating contract (may be scheduled days, nights, or both).
Assignment Details:
Orientation: 72 hours.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years acute care RN experience.
- At least 1 year PCU (progressive care) experience.
- Must be currently working in acute care (within last 12 months).
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage patients in a high-acuity setting, using telemetry to assess heart rhythms and vital signs.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, including blood products and PCA management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Perform patient assessments, including interpretation of ABGs and managing central lines and other invasive lines.
Compliance / Notes:
Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only).
