As a member of this team, the Staff Nurse provides patient care and supportive services directed towards achievement of positive patient care outcomes, maximizing the patient’s involvement in the plan of care, improving service levels, reducing the length of hospitalization, and decreasing costs.
Patients and their families will experience the benefits of patient focused care through the integrated skills of all care team members. This unit is a 24 hour inpatient intensive care unit for medical cardiology patients who may require cardiac monitoring, vasoactive drip titration, hemodynamic monitoring, mechanical ventilation and IABP therapy.
The Staff Nurse is responsible for managing and providing care to the patient and family, and for directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team. The Staff Nurse is responsible for assessing, prescribing, implementing, coordinating, delegating and evaluating the nursing care of patients. The Staff Nurse prioritizes patient care needs and provides leadership to, and development of the patient care team.
Minimum Qualifications For Hire- Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing.
- Current Ohio license or interim permit.
- Previous experience in a relevant care setting preferred.
- On going:
Maintains and seeks new knowledge related to evidence based practice, patient care issues, quality improvement, cost reduction, current policies, procedures, and protocols. - Maintains current Ohio RN license.
- Meets mandatory educational and health requirements.
- Demonstrates computer skills required to meet job functions.
