Neuro ICU Travel Nurse
Position for a Neuro ICU Travel Nurse. Shift requires rotation every four weeks. Schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts per week. Patient ratio is estimated at 1:1-2. Floating within units of equivalent or lower acuity is required. Prior travel experience is preferred. Daily patient population includes individuals with ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, subarachnoid hemorrhages, seizures, and neuromuscular diseases. Patients may also include those undergoing post-operative neurosurgeries.
Special procedures include tracheostomy, gastrostomy placement, central and arterial line placements, and external ventricular drain placement. Candidates should have skills in managing mechanically ventilated patients and invasive neuromonitoring. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy, among others. Strict compliance with credentialing processes is required. This may involve timely completion of fingerprinting. Candidates will need to provide two professional references.
At least one reference must come from a manager or individual in a formal leadership position.
