Nurse Anesthesia Program Instructor

This position is responsible providing didactic and clinical instruction in the nurse anesthesia program. Duties will include course planning and design, didactic and clinical instruction, evaluation of learning, student advising, curriculum and program evaluation. This is a 0.2 FTE position.
Develops, designs, and delivers instruction in nurse anesthesia clinical and didactic courses. Engages in teaching, service, and scholarship. Participates in mentoring and advising students. Maintains office hours. Evaluates student progress in the classroom, clinical, and laboratory setting. Participates in development and maintenance of program records and data bases. Assists with student recruitment, interviews, and admissions.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's Degree:
Nursing (Required) ACLS
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- American Heart Association, CRNA
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist
- National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)

Job Description:
Master's degree minimum requirement. Current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Ohio. Holds a current, unencumbered APRN from the Ohio state Board of Nursing to practice as a CRNA. Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program. Certified by the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists. Recertified by the Council on Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists. 3 years experience as a CRNA, ACLS Certification.
Experience teaching nurse anesthesia students. Excellent computer, communication, interpersonal relationship, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills. Self-directed.
