- 4x9-hour shifts — 36 hours/week
- Start time: 7:00 AM or 7:45 AM, Monday–Friday

Ohio State University is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN to support its diagnostic and interventional cardiac services. The ideal candidate will have strong Cath Lab, pre/post-procedure, EP, and procedural sedation experience.
Requirements- Minimum 3 years of Cath Lab RN experience
- Active Ohio or Compact RN license in hand at submission
- BLS – Required
- ACLS – Required
- CCI RCIS – Preferred
- Epic experience – Required
- Pre/Post-op experience required
- Previous charge experience preferred
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Education must be from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited program
- Travel experience is not required
- 2 professional references required:
- At least 1 must be a manager, director, supervisor, or other formal leader
- Charge RN is acceptable for the second reference
- Coworker references are not accepted
Candidates should be experienced with:
- Diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization
- PCI and cardiac stent placement
- AMI, STEMI, NSTEMI
- EP procedures and devices
- Pacemakers and AICDs
- PAD/PVD
- Pre- and post-procedure care
- Sheath removal and monitoring
- IABP and Impella
- Cardioversion
- Right and left heart catheterization
- IVUS, FFR and DFR
- Vascular closure systems
- Temporary pacemakers
- Interventional radiology procedures
- Cath Lab: Diagnostic & PCI – Level II
- EP Lab: Device changeouts, upgrades, ICDs and pacemakers
- Vascular/IR: Simple angiogram and IR procedures
- Number of Rooms: 2
- Number of Beds: 9
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
- Patient Ratio: Approximately 3:1
- EMR: Epic
- IABP
- Temporary pacemakers
- Shockwave
- DFR
- IVUS
- FFR
- Locals accepted at the same rate
- RTO must be disclosed at submission and included in the contract
- Only one Ohio State University location may be submitted
- Current employees of any Ohio State University hospital are not eligible for a traveler position
- Former employees are eligible after being away from the facility for 6 months or more
- Flu vaccine required; medical exemptions only
- COVID-19 vaccination is not required
Ohio fingerprinting is time-sensitive and mandatory
. Candidates must complete fingerprinting as soon as they sign the contract.
- Strict compliance deadline:
Tuesday prior to start date - Candidates within driving distance of Ohio must travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location
- Candidates located farther away will receive a fingerprinting packet by mail
- Unresponsive or delayed candidates may be at risk of a pushed start or cancellation
- Candidates should be screened for vacation immediately after booking, as fingerprinting delays may impact the start date
