Job Description Summary
Provides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse, acute health care settings. The department operates 24/7/365. The RN is accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing and delegates nursing tasks to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs) following the Ohio Nurse Practice Act. According to department policies and nursing care standards, the RN provides professional nursing care services, responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for assigned patients.
Responsibilities- Assessment/Diagnosis – Perform initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessments as applicable to the patient population and/or individuals (30%).
- Outcomes Identification/Planning – Based on nursing diagnoses and collaborative problems, document planned nursing interventions to achieve appropriate outcomes (30%).
- Implementation/Evaluation – Evaluate and document responses to nursing interventions and achievement of outcomes at determined intervals; revise the plan of care as needed with a multidisciplinary team (20%).
- Leadership – Actively participate in process improvement activities to achieve targeted measures of clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance (10%).
- Operations – Perform operational duties (10%).
- Focus on safety, quality, and efficiency as a High Reliability Organization.

- Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio and/or a current RN license in good standing with a multi‑state compact state.
- BLS certification.
- BSN required within five years of employment.
- BLS – Basic Life Support – American Heart Association.
- Registered Nurse – Ohio Board of Nursing.
