Registered Nurse – Med Surg Oncology

Shift: 12-hour rotating Days/Nights

Requirements:

• Minimum: 2 years inpatient nursing experience required
• Current acute care experience in the specialty applied for (last 12 months)
• Licensure:
  Valid compact or state RN license required
• Certifications:
  
  Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required
• Charting experience:
  Epic required

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adults and geriatrics with medical oncology diagnoses.
• Monitor patients in a mixed-acuity setting, including telemetry care and dysrhythmia interpretation.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy including blood products and PCA management.
• Participate in rapid response and code team activities as required.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.

Compliance / Notes:

• Orientation: 72 hours
• Floating required to other medical-surgical telemetry units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Vaccines:
  Flu vaccine required; COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Pre-approved time off:
  One request allowed per contract
• Parking options:
  Multiple options available (pricing and availability subject to change)
• Fingerprinting compliance must be completed by a specified deadline after booking.
