Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Schedule

Ratios: 1:3.5 (days/nights/weekends). Weekend coverage: every other or every third weekend.

Assignment Details

Orientation: 36 hours. Floating is required.

Requirements

• 2+ years of Emergency Department experience required; experience in a Level I Trauma Center preferred.
• Certifications:
  
  BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI.
• Comfortable with triage, dysrhythmia interpretation, emergency medications, procedural sedation, ventilated patients, trauma care, psych holds, and pediatric emergency care.
• Must have a valid RN license in the state.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced emergency environment.
• Perform triage assessments and prioritize patient care needs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and evaluate patient conditions, documenting care in the EMR system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Compliance / Notes

Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only). COVID-19 vaccine not required. Background checks and credentialing processes will be carried out prior to start.
