Registered Nurse – Surgical Services

Full-time (40 hrs/week), combination of day/evening rotating shifts including 4x10, 5x8, and 2x8 + 2x12 based on unit need. Shift start options: 06:30–17:00, 06:30–19:00, 10:30–20:30. Call and weekend coverage as needed.

Typical daily census: ~45 patients; facility will provide parking details. Orientation will be required prior to start.

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
• Travel experience required.
• EPIC charting experience required.
• Preferred: RNs rated 3–4 in neuro, thoracic, ENT, ortho, general, plastics, urology, GU/GYN, free flaps, and robotic (Da-Vinci) cases.
• Oncology experience preferred.
• Required:
  
  BCLS/BLS certification; preferred: ACLS, CNOR, circulating and scrub experience.

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses.
• Participate in patient education and ensure understanding of procedures and care plans.
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of a sterile environment during surgical procedures.
• Respond to emergencies and provide appropriate clinical intervention as needed.

Strict credentialing deadline: documentation must be complete by the Tuesday prior to start. Ohio fingerprinting is required after booking, with urgency for candidates outside the state. Vaccinations:
Flu vaccine is required (medical exemptions only).
