Registered Nurse – Emergency Department
Schedule
Ratios: 1:3.5 (days / nights / weekends). Weekend coverage: every other or every third weekend. Orientation: 36 hours.
Assignment Details
Daily census: ~210;
Rooms: 86;
Beds: 115.
Requirements
- 2+ years ER experience required; experience in Level I Trauma Center preferred.
- Must have BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI certifications.
- Comfortable with triage, dysrhythmia interpretation, emergency medications, procedural sedation, ventilated patients, trauma care, psych holds, and pediatric emergency care.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in a high-acuity/trauma-capable unit.
- Perform triage and manage patient flow in the emergency department.
- Administer emergency medications and IV therapies.
- Conduct dysrhythmia interpretation and manage ventilator care.
- Assist in procedural sedation and trauma management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary support staff for optimal patient outcomes.
Compliance / Notes
Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only). COVID-19 vaccine not required. Urgent credentialing and fingerprinting are required immediately after signing the contract.
