Medical ICU Nurse Practitioner​/Physician Assistant

• Work collaboratively with physicians in the hospital-based inpatient setting
• Care for critically ill patients, primarily in the Intensive Care Unit
• Perform surgery first-assist duties in a variety of specialties
• Perform invasive procedures
• Work under physician direction and consultation/collaboration
• Provide services authorized by the supervising/collaborating physician
• Promote quality outcomes and initiatives
• Practice according to the supervision/care arrangement and delineation of privileges

• Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA) qualification
• AANP certification / American Association of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board
• APRN license from the State of Ohio Board of Nursing
• NCCPA certification / National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
• PA qualification / Physician Assistant certification
• Must have a Supervision Agreement (SA) or Standard Care Arrangement (SCA) with a physician in like practice
• Practice within applicable state laws, appropriate boards, SA/SCA, and delineation of privileges
• Ability to perform invasive procedures
• High level of independent clinical decision-making

Demonstrates expertise in providing critical care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit, performing invasive procedures, and collaborating effectively with physicians. Holds necessary certifications and licenses to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in compliance with state laws and supervision agreements.
