Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit
Night shifts, 36 hours/week. Weekend coverage required, including rotating holidays.
Patient population includes adults in progressive care/stepdown with a transplant focus. Typical supports include physical therapy, respiratory, interpreters, radiology, social services, pharmacy, transport, unit secretary, and rapid response. Special equipment includes telemetry, bladder scanners, and Dopplers.
Minimum of 1 year RN experience required.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
Telemetry/MS/Telemetry experience preferred.
Must have valid compact or state nursing license at time of submission.
Experience with IV management and dysrhythmia interpretation preferred.
Provide patient care in a progressive care/stepdown setting.
Monitor telemetry readings and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
Administer medications and manage IV therapy, including insulin protocols.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Assist with procedures such as kidney biopsy recovery and paracentesis.
Perform assessment and maintain accurate patient records using an electronic medical record system.
Ohio fingerprinting must be completed as soon as the candidate signs the contract. Compliance deadlines are strict. RTO must be included with submission and built into the contract. Two professional references are required; one must be a manager or director.
