American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring telemetry experience and cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation skills.

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown) setting within a hospital
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00-7:30), 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required (Friday and Saturday nights)
• Floating required within OSU
• Epic charting system experience preferred

• Active OH or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Previous telemetry experience required
• Experience with IV insulin protocols and insulin drips required
• Strong cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation and management skills required
• Experience with rapid response/code teams
• Skilled in peripheral line care, IV therapy/phlebotomy, and oxygen administration including nasal cannula
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE use
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a manager, director, or supervisor; charge RN acceptable for second reference; coworker references not accepted

• Provide cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and emergency response care to progressive care patients
• Candidates with only 1 year of experience will require manager review prior to offer
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Locals accepted at the same rate
• Former employees eligible for assignment after 6 months away from the facility
• Current employees are ineligible for travel positions at any Ohio State University hospital location
• RTO must be submitted with application and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less
• Ohio fingerprinting process must be completed urgently upon contract signing due to strict compliance deadlines

The $2,077 weekly pay shown in this posting, along with related figures, corresponds to the higher end of this range. Weekly travel pay includes tax-free stipends per IRS guidelines. Weekly local pay is fully taxable and therefore lower due to additional employer-paid taxes and related costs.
