The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center - James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute's (OSUCCC-James) mission is to improve health in Ohio and across the world through innovation in research, education, and patient care. The team provides patient care and supportive services directed towards achievement of positive patient care outcomes, maximizing the patient's involvement in their own plan of care, and reducing the length of hospitalization, the clinic nurse plays a critical role in staff engagement, the patient experience, quality and safety, and cost-effective care.
Position SummaryThe Clinic Nurse is responsible for managing and providing care to the patient and their family, and for directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team. The Clinic Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, delegating, and evaluating the nursing care of patients in alignment with the professional practice model.
Required QualificationsDegree in Nursing from a CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited nursing program required. Current Ohio license or interim permit.
- Experience in relevant care setting preferred.
The Endocrine/Neuroendocrine Clinic at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center provides comprehensive, multidisciplinary care for patients with endocrine and neuroendocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid disease, pituitary and adrenal conditions, osteoporosis, metabolic disorders, and neuroendocrine tumors. Clinic nurses collaborate closely with endocrinologists, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care, provide patient education, manage complex treatment plans, support diagnostic testing, and promote optimal patient outcomes across the continuum of care.
