American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical Oncology/BMT position requiring 1+ year of oncology experience and Epic proficiency.
Details- Work in a mixed acuity PCU and Medical-Surgical Oncology/BMT unit
- Care for patients with hematologic malignancies including leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and myelodysplastic syndrome
- Unit performs autologous, syngeneic, and allogeneic stem cell transplants as well as CAR-T therapy
- 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM), 3x per week
- May be scheduled under a rotating Day/Night contract with shift assignments reviewed every 4-week period
- Epic EMR experience required
- Active OH or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- BLS certification required; ACLS and ONS Chemotherapy Certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year of oncology experience required;
Heme Onc experience strongly preferred - Minimum 2 years of overall RN experience required
- Acute care experience must be current and within the specialty applied to, with consistent work in the last 12 months
- Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Skills required:
telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, blood product administration, central line and PICC line care/management, feeding tube management, and peripheral line care - Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager/director or supervisor; charge RN acceptable for second reference; no coworker references accepted
- Provide direct patient care within a Bone Marrow Transplant/Oncology unit, utilizing rapid response protocols as needed
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Locals accepted at the same rate
- Former employees eligible for travel assignment after 6+ months away from the facility
- Current employees are ineligible for travel positions at this health system
- Requested time off must be submitted with the contract and limited to 7 days or less
- Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing contract due to state credentialing requirements
