Job Opportunity – NICU Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: November 16, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Float required to different units as needed; 2-3 patient ratio

Highlights:

  • Level III NICU providing specialized care for neonates from 22 weeks gestation and above
  • 30-bed unit with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, respiratory services, physical therapy, and social services
  • EPIC charting system and Pyxis medication administration
  • Advanced clinical experience with respiratory management, cardiovascular support, and surgical/cardiac interventions
  • Utilize SBAR communication methodology for effective collaboration with healthcare team and families
  • Parking permits available with multiple options ranging from monthly to annual plans

Requirements:

  • Valid Compact or Ohio RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
  • Minimum 1 year of NICU experience;
    Level III and Level IV experience preferred
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • Nursing degree from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
  • Proficiency in EPIC charting system
  • Competency in arterial line management, central line care, dysrhythmia interpretation, ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP), and umbilical catheter placement
  • Experience with IV vasopressors, surfactants, steroids, and neonatal abstinence syndrome interventions
  • Two professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership)
  • Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
