American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a day/night rotating assignment requiring at least 1 year of acute care experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

• MS/Tele unit within a hospital setting
• Day (7a-7p) and night (7:30p-7:30a) rotating shifts, 3x12 hours each, 36 hours per week
• Rotation changes every 4 weeks between straight day and night shifts
• Schedule includes weekdays and some weekends
• Float required within the OSU hospital system

• Active OH or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience required
• Experience with respiratory care including chest tubes (Emerson/Pleur Evac), nasal cannula, and oxygen administration
• Cardiac monitoring experience including dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience utilizing Rapid Response/Code teams
• Proficiency in isolation precautions and PPE use
• IV therapy and phlebotomy skills, including peripheral line care and PICC line management
• Experience starting and maintaining IVs
• Experience with neurological/psychiatric patients and substance withdrawal care
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• 2 professional references required, with at least 1 from a manager/director or supervisor and the second from a Charge RN; coworker references not accepted

• Provide direct nursing care to Med/Surg Tele patients including cardiac monitoring and respiratory management
• PCU experience is not required for this role
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Prior travel experience is not required
• Locals accepted at the same pay rate
• Former employees eligible for travel assignment after 6 months away from the facility
• Current employees are ineligible to work as travelers at any Ohio State University hospital location
• RTO must be submitted with contract and limited to 7 days or less
• Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing contract due to strict compliance timelines
