What We Need

We are seeking multiple energetic, passionate people who enjoy the outdoors and want to play a key role for the Aviation Administrator (Natural Resources Administrator

What You Will Do
  • Acts as assistant to Chief & directs, coordinates & administers overall statewide Wildlife aerial survey & surveillance activities & programs for the Division of Wildlife
  • Plans, coordinates, directs & conducts all fish, wildlife & law enforcement activities that require the use of multiengine fixed wing aircraft &/or helicopter
  • Pilots fixed &/or rotary wing aircraft
  • Maintains flight records & logbooks and conducts post‑maintenance flight checks
  • Supervises assigned staff
  • The Natural Resources Specialty for this position is Aviation AND at least one of the following:
    Fish & Wildlife Management, Fish & Wildlife Research, Fish & Wildlife Biology, Habitat & Conservation, Zoology, Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice, Physical Sciences or Biology.
Compensation & Benefits

Starting hourly pay of $43.09/hr with multiple pay increases over your first 6.5 years of service, with an end salary of $61.56/hr there may also be cost of living adjustments (COLA) applied. Longevity pay supplements begin after five (5) years of state service. For more details, refer to the Exempt pay range schedule & longevity rates for Exempt Employees E1.

Position Qualifications

Experience required: 66 months training or 66 months experience in a natural resources specialty (Aviation AND at least one of:
Fish & Wildlife Management, Fish & Wildlife Research, Fish & Wildlife Biology, Habitat & Conservation, Zoology, Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice, Physical Sciences or Biology) with a valid driver’s license. Alternatively, an undergraduate major core program with 42 months experience, or a graduate major core program with 30 months experience, or 6 months experience as Natural Resources Administrator 3, 22913, or equivalent qualifications.

Specialties:
Aviation AND at least one of the following:
Fish & Wildlife Management, Fish & Wildlife Research, Fish & Wildlife Biology, Habitat & Conservation, Zoology, Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice, Physical Sciences or Biology AND a Commercial pilot’s certificate with airplane multi‑engine & instrument ratings, current FAA Class II medical certificate and commercial helicopter rating with flight hours commensurate with helicopter ratings.
