Maintenance Crew Member

Originally founded by Bill Gerhardt, RLA & alum of the OSU Landscape Architecture program, Green Scapes has recently evolved into an employee-owned company. Utilizing a balanced approach with residential, commercial and maintenance divisions, Green Scapes continues to expand our footprint in the greater Columbus market, an area continuously developing and providing a steady supply of project opportunities!

To assist with the installation of hardscapes and softscapes that exceed the quality standards established by Green Scapes, and to expertly complete the job as directed by the Foreman.

• Perform a wide variety of landscape maintenance functions related to but not limited to mowing, trimming, irrigation, edging, and pruning.
• Loading/unloading of trucks and trailers.
• Snow removal.
• Be proficient in the use of basic power equipment: hedge trimmers, mowers, and leaf blowers.
• Be proficient in the use of basic hand tools: leaf rake, broom, hoe, shovel, cultivator, hand pruners, and hedge shears.
• Work with other crew members as a team.
• Ability to take and follow direction.

• Report any problems or potential problems to your supervisor immediately.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures regarding the safe operation of equipment and tools. Do not operate any equipment that you are not authorized or trained to operate.
• Report any equipment damage or repair requests to your supervisor.
• Report to work on time.

• A minimum of High School diploma or GED.
• Previous landscape experience preferred.
• Previous experience with commercial grade landscape equipment preferred.
• Valid Driver’s license.
