Director of Quality – Kinetico

Job Description: The Director of Quality leads the design of Kinetico’s global quality strategy and will be responsible for setting up Quality as a discipline across the end-to-end customer service value chain, ensuring consistent standards and excellence in product quality, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction. The role is responsible for developing and harmonizing quality systems and fostering a culture of quality across the organization, leading cross-functional quality initiatives to support operational and business goals.

Areas of Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a unified quality strategy that aligns with corporate objectives and supports business growth.
  • Ensure consistent application of quality standards across regions and facilities.
  • Design and oversee the implementation, and maintenance of robust quality management systems (QMS).
  • Support regulatory compliance and ensure adherence to industry standards and certifications (e.g., ISO, FDA, or other relevant standards).
  • Ensure audit readiness and lead regulatory inspections and certifications as needed.
  • Partner with manufacturing, supply chain, R&D (design assurance and sustaining engineering), and Customer Service teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the product lifecycle (both make and buy), to ensure product and process quality.
  • Monitor and improve process controls, product testing, and release procedures.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and guidance to teams on quality standards, processes, and problem‑solving practices.
  • Push quality issues to resolution by identifying initiatives to reduce defects, improve yield, enhance customer satisfaction, proactively address quality issues, and prevent recurrence.
  • Establish and monitor quality KPIs, dashboards, and reporting systems.
  • Use data analytics to identify trends and root causes, identify corrective actions, drive improvements, support strategic decision‑making, and attain business goals.
  • Report on quality performance and improvement initiatives to senior management, including KPIs and trends.
  • Serve as the primary quality liaison for customer quality issues and corrective action initiatives.
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quality/ Manufacturing/ Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or related field. Master’s/Advanced Degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of quality experience including progressive management experience.
  • Certification in quality management (e.g., CQE, Six Sigma, ISO Lead Auditor) strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing quality policies and programs.
  • In‑depth knowledge of quality management systems and international quality standards.
  • Experience working effectively with global, cross‑functional teams, driving change management through both direct and indirect means.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple projects and priorities, and drive initiatives to completion.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and engaging others, and creating high‑performance teams.
  • Ability to train, mentor, and develop team members in quality principles and practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel globally 25% of the time.
