Job Overview

This role involves monitoring and promoting conformance to quality standards, investigating and recommending quality system actions, identifying improvement opportunities, and supporting the Quality Management System.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program new parts into the OGP vision system and optimize measurement paths and parameters.
  • Identify and lead quality‑related improvement activities within the department and contribute expertise to adjacent departments.
  • Lead or participate in quality‑related special projects or assignments, individually or in a team.
  • Develop and implement methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material; devise methods to assess cost and responsibility.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and develop, revise, and verify quality standards and test procedures for product evaluation.
  • Perform technical analysis of data and develop graphical representations of results.
  • Contribute to the development, documentation, and maintenance of the Quality Management System.
  • Assist in creating job instructions to help operators perform assigned tasks.
  • Establish programs to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment.
  • Identify and illustrate inspection procedures, indicating areas to be examined, measuring devices to be used, and acceptable criteria.
  • Develop and initiate standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation using knowledge of product.
  • Monitor production procedures to ensure conformance to engineering specifications.
  • Compile and write training material and conduct training sessions on quality control activities.
  • Select products for testing at specified stages in the production process; test products for a variety of qualities such as dimensions and performance characteristics.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and maintain a safe and clean work area.

  • Demonstrate ability to positively influence Quality KPIs.
  • Proficient communication with external customers and vendors.
  • Perform key responsibilities under minimal supervision with advanced training or on‑the‑job experience.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and apply analytical skills to a variety of activities.
  • Work with others in a manner that promotes teamwork, learning, and development.
  • Use tools and equipment safely and properly.
  • Accurately document results.
  • Complete work assignments on a timely basis.
Qualifications and Experience
  • High School Diploma required;
    Associate degree or ASQ Certification preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.
  • ISO 9001:2015 Certified Auditor Training.
  • Experience with CAD programs.
  • Experience programming parts into an OGP vision system, developing inspection routines, and training personnel (preferred).
  • 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with quality responsibilities.
  • Experience developing, implementing, or supporting a Quality Management System.
  • Demonstrated ability across a wide range of processes and testing procedures.
  • Ability to operate independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong mechanical and mathematical aptitude.
  • Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Strong mental and visual attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills; manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints.
  • Ability to use calibrated gauges, tools, and fixtures.
