The Role:
We’re seeking a passionate and dedicated Test Technician to join our team. In this position, you will support the execution of engineering tests that help validate and improve products and systems. You will work closely with engineers and lab leadership to prepare and run tests, collect and review data, and communicate progress and results. This role involves hands‑on work in lab and field environments, contributing to test setup, documentation, and reporting.
You will also help identify opportunities to improve testing processes, support lab operations, and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently. Through collaboration, organization, and continuous improvement, you will play a key role in enabling successful testing programs and overall product development.
What You’ll Be Doing:- Configure, install, and maintain data acquisition systems and test equipment; conduct indoor and outdoor prototype and product tests and assigned component-level bench tests.
- Work with Test engineers to understand the test plan, setup data acquisition system depending on the type of the test and complete the test as per the outlined plan.
- Maintain detailed test logs and document the daily activity.
- Process acquired data from tests and conduct simple analysis.
- Performing test setups for system level truck tests, other electrical and mechanical bench tests.
- Perform Truck tests by driving the required duty cycles and patterns. Optimize patterns for tests based on the requirements.
- Complete test reports as per specified timeline and quality.
- Catalog all the lessons learnt and report status of testing activity in daily meetings.
- Lead test equipment selection for tests and 5S activity.
- Participate in the development of new test procedures as required
- Prepare and implement improvements to processes and procedures related to testing.
- Document and Countermeasure testing related issues as they arise.
- Assist lab supervisor on certain lab operation duties
- Aligns, fits, and assembles component parts, using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, templates, and microscopes.
- Analyzes and records test results and prepares written testing documentation.
- Installs electrical and electronic parts and hardware in housings or assemblies, using soldering equipment and hand tools.
- Tests performance of electromechanical assemblies, using test instruments such as oscilloscopes, electronic voltmeters, and bridges.
- Verifies dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments. Prepare and complete test reports within established timelines and quality standards using provided training and templates.
- Support test equipment selection, organization, and 5S activities within the lab environment.
- Perform all duties while maintaining a constant state of alertness and adhering to safety requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma. Associates degree is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of operation experience of forklifts or similar type of material handling equipment with trackable safety record.
- Excellent team player with good communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to read, evaluate, understand, and communicate data from prints and technical standard documents.
- Strong technical writing skills to document daily activities and draft test reports to required standard.
- Adaptable with strong passion towards field of study or experience.
- Ability to put customer needs first and resourcefulness to achieve it.
- Ability to maintain test schedule for long term fatigue or environmental tests.
- Ability to continuously operate forklift and other types of material handling equipment for 2 hours, with short rest time.
- Ability and willingness to learn installation and use sensors, data acquisition devices and other types of testing equipment.
- Ability to operate overhead cranes and electric and pneumatic shop tools.
- Associates Degree.
- Experience in harness preparation.
- Hands‑on, sense of safety, teamwork oriented, detail oriented, technically oriented individual.
