Job Title:
Quality Assurance Project Specialist

Location: Columbus, OH (onsite)

Contract Duration: Contract until 04/05/2027

Work Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Project Specialist to support ingredient quality and supplier change management activities. This role plays a critical part in ensuring ingredient compliance, maintaining robust documentation, and driving cross functional alignment across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage quality assurance projects related to Nutrition Science.
  • Receive and manage supplier change notifications, including tracking status through completion.
  • Qualify ingredients in the supply chain to ensure they meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Assess quality assurance protocols and procedures.
  • Conduct paperwork audits of suppliers and manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, procurement, and production, to ensure quality standards are maintained.
  • Analyze data and generate reports on quality metrics and project progress.
  • Address and resolve any quality issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate cross functional assessments of supplier changes to evaluate quality and compliance impact.
  • Communicate status, risks, and outcomes to key stakeholders.
  • Support implementation of downstream process changes related to approved supplier notifications.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation to ensure traceability.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to supplier change notification and quality processes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Nutrition Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
  • The ideal candidate brings a background in food science or related discipline.
  • 1 3 years of experience in a regulated food or nutrition industry.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards for ingredient qualification.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with supply chain management and ingredient sourcing.
