Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Sogeti, part of Capgemini, is seeking an experienced QA Manual & Automation Staff Engineer to join our Application Development and Quality Engineering practice. In this client-facing role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing both manual and automated testing strategies that ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong automation engineering expertise with hands-on manual testing experience and thrives in an Agile, collaborative environment.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable manual and automated test frameworks using Playwright, JavaScript, Type Script, Selenium/Web Driver, and other modern testing tools.
• Plan and execute functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, smoke, sanity, exploratory, and API testing while identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects.
• Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, and QA teams throughout Agile ceremonies to define requirements, support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and ensure successful software delivery.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Azure Dev Ops, Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, or similar platforms while supporting cloud-based testing environments.
• Analyze quality metrics, identify testing risks and production defect trends, and provide recommendations to improve software quality, test coverage, and release readiness.
• Develop and maintain test data, test environments, technical documentation, and testing standards while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and industry best practices.
• Lead quality engineering initiatives, mentor team members, and collaborate across cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and testing excellence.

• 5+ years of experience in QA Automation and Manual Testing with expertise in Playwright, JavaScript/Type Script, Selenium/Web Driver, C#, Python, and API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using Azure Dev Ops, Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, or similar platforms, with knowledge of Azure or AWS cloud environments.
• Strong experience designing and executing manual and automated test strategies, defect management, test reporting, SQL database validation, and Agile software development methodologies.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Financial Services or Banking industry experience is preferred.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical field required.
