Lead, Quality Assurance

Position Overview

The Lead, Quality Assurance is responsible for driving quality across all phases of the software development lifecycle. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership, and communication skills to champion quality standards, lead testing initiatives, and ensure product release readiness. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and hands‑on practitioner who can balance innovation with process rigor.

Core Responsibilities

Quality Leadership

  • Drive the overall quality discipline across engineering teams
  • Develop and enforce standards and procedures to determine product quality and release readiness
  • Identify, track, and report on key quality KPIs to inform decision‑making and continuous improvement
  • Perform and document thorough risk analyses throughout the development process
  • Create robust, comprehensive test plans aligned with product and release goals
  • Perform manual and automated testing, tracking and communicating progress and results to stakeholders
  • Review user interfaces for consistency, usability, and functionality
  • Maintain an effective test case bank by documenting, organizing, and regularly updating test cases

Tooling & Automation

  • Lead the evaluation, implementation, and ongoing improvement of testing tools and technologies
  • Establish and maintain the automated testing framework
  • Develop and maintain automated tests to maximize coverage and efficiency
  • Drive innovation to streamline and modernize overall testing processes
Required

Skills & Qualifications
  • Proven experience in software quality assurance, with demonstrated leadership or mentorship experience
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and best practices
  • Hands‑on experience building and maintaining automated testing frameworks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present quality metrics clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and logical reasoning abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced development environment
