Data Scientist
What You Will Do
- You will utilize ODOT data collection vehicles to travel throughout the state to collect pavement surface characteristic data and ride quality data.
- You will work with other departmental units, outside agencies and consultants to provide data collection and reporting.
- You will support construction oversight by collecting and analyzing road profile data to verify contractor compliance with smoothness specifications.
- You will serve as a technical resource by responding to internal and external data requests and preparing reports and presentations.

24 mos. trg. or 24 mos. exp. in planning & conducting research studies using operational, mathematical, analytical &/or statistical research techniques & preparing reports, records &/or technical evaluations related to research conducted.

- Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.

Valid Driver’s License required.
Travels throughout the state approximately 90% of the time with most of the trips requiring overnight stays. Nightwork up to 10%.
This position is 1000 hours maximum.
