Position: Research Faculty -  IM Immunology and Rheumatology - (Open Rank/Track Faculty)

Job Title

Research Faculty - IM Immunology and Rheumatology - (Open Rank/Track Faculty)

Location

Davis Medical Research Center (0382), Columbus, Ohio

Responsibilities
  • Write and publish research in high-quality peer‑reviewed scientific journals.
  • Attend and present research at national and international scientific conferences.
  • Develop a national and international scholarly reputation.
  • Instruct and mentor junior scientists, doctoral and postdoctoral students, medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Participate in department, college, and university committees and initiatives.
  • Conceptualize, plan, design, implement, and conduct research studies focused on rheumatic autoimmune diseases.
  • Develop and write grant proposals to maintain funding for the research program.
  • Obtain and maintain NIH R01 or equivalent funding.
Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree (MD or MD/PhD) in Immunology or a related field.
  • Strong track record of high‑level publications.
  • Strong track record of ongoing robust peer‑reviewed research funding (e.g., NIH R01).
  • Experience in basic immunology, translational science, and clinical investigation of rheumatic autoimmune diseases.
  • Ability to develop and manage multidisciplinary research projects.
