Candle Technician; Entry Level

Position: Candle Technician (Entry Level)
SEA, Ltd. is hiring for our Candle Testing Lab! This is a temporary to permanent role with full-time hours (4 days per week, 10 hours per day). The ideal candidates for these roles will enjoy working on their feet and will understand that this is a high fragrance environment. Pay is $19/hr.

Hours for this opportunity are as follows:

Sun-Weds: 3:30 p.m.

-1:30 a.m.

Weds-Sat: 3:30 p.m.

-1:30 a.m.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

* Un-boxes, weighs and logs of product test samples as they arrive

* Performs sample setup in testing lab

* Tests, observes and documents test samples in accordance with required protocols

* Performs general housekeeping in the lab (cleaning wax off testing shelves and floor, cleaning HVAC filters, replacement of burn surfaces)

* Analyzes soot collection targets

* Conducts flash-point testing

* Photographs test samples

* Catalogs, stores and disposes of test samples

Position Requirements :

* Strong organizational, observation, written and verbal communication, and multi-tasking skills

* Basic knowledge of Excel and Access

* High school diploma

This will be an in-laboratory opportunity (not remote)

* MUST be able to handle strong and continuous fragrances
* Physical Requirements:

* Ability to lift 50 lbs

* Ability to climb a ladder

* Ability to stand for 4+ hours per day

* Ability to handle exposure to high fragrance odors
