Responsibilities

The Research Scientist is responsible for establishing and leading an independent, nationally competitive research program investigating cardiac arrhythmias within the department of Physiology and Cell Biology. Furthermore, the scientist is accountable for compliance with federal and institutional safety regulations (e.g., laboratory, radiation) and oversees the daily activities of the lab, including directing procurement, ensuring equipment maintenance, developing new collaborative opportunities, and formally supervising and training junior research staff, post‑doctoral researchers, residents, and students.
