Company Description

The Ohio State University is one of the largest universities in the United States and a leading public research institution. Founded in 1870 as a land-grant university, it is recognized for its strong academic programs and impactful research across disciplines. The university consistently ranks among the top public universities in the country, offering extensive resources and collaborative opportunities. Its main campus is located in Columbus, Ohio, with additional regional campuses throughout the state, providing a diverse and vibrant academic community for scholars and trainees.

We are seeking a full-time postdoctoral researcher to study the role of noncoding RNAs in the heart. My laboratory is dedicated to research in cardiac arrhythmia and regeneration. Our overarching goal is to elucidate the molecular mechanisms that maintain cardiac homeostasis and to leverage this knowledge to develop innovative therapies for cardiovascular disease. Our current research focuses on exploring the noncanonical functions of non-coding RNAs, particularly microRNAs and lncRNAs, in cardiac arrhythmia and myocardial injury.

Our work is supported by the National Institute of Health.

Required Qualifications
  • PhD in Molecular Biology, physiology, or related field.
  • Strong research experience in RNA biology and/or cardiac pathophysiology is highly desirable.
  • A record of first-author publications in Pub Med-indexed journals.
  • Ability to design and lead research projects independently.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a part of team.
  • Experience with animal research is preferred.

Compensation will follow NIH guidelines and includes fringe benefits through The Ohio State University.
