ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities are basic and routine in nature. This may include performing administrative duties in an office, assisting in a research laboratory, and aiding faculty/staff in supporting academic programs or patient care. Duties will be clear and direct. The Student Assistant will require excellent customer service and strong organizational skills and will represent the department and the university with the highest degree of integrity applying OSU mission and shared values.
Additional Information:
The student research assistant position will work under the direct supervision of the laboratory manager to assist in supporting clinical trials focusing on cancer. Duties may include: assisting with tube preparation and specimen processing; research study data entry and copying records for monitor visits; housekeeping duties such as restocking lab supplies, discarding study kits and de-icing freezers; assisting in other study-related activities as required.
Work schedules are flexible and change according to students’ class schedule each semester.
Education/
Experience:
Student must be enrolled in a degree‑granting program at OSU;
Requires successful completion of a background check; selected candidate may be asked to complete a pre‑employment physical including a drug screen.
