Research Senior Associate – The Clinical Neuroscience & Psychopharmacology Unit (CNPRU) in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Health seeks a Research Senior Associate to design, execute, and manage research projects investigating the biology and treatment of impulsive aggression in human study participants. The role involves collaborating with the Principal Investigator to develop study objectives, conceptualize and conduct moderately behavioral laboratory experiments, and oversee data processing, analysis, and interpretation.
The associate will also contribute to scientific writing, grant proposal development, and dissemination of findings at national and international conferences.
- Design, execute, and manage research projects focused on impulsive aggression.
- Collaborate with the Principal Investigator to develop study goals and objectives.
- Conceptualize, design, and conduct moderately behavioral laboratory experiments.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee data processing and analysis.
- Analyze and interpret research data.
- Test experimental designs, sampling techniques, and analytical methods.
- Perform critical literature reviews relevant to the research domain.
- Write and prepare research papers, manuscripts, and grant proposals.
- Present research findings at national and international conferences, workshops, and seminars.
- Master’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or at least 1 year with a Master’s Degree.
- Preferred:
Master’s Level Degree and five years of experience in research on human aggression. - Doctoral degree in clinical psychology is most desirable.
- At least five years of experience with behavioral laboratory paradigms of aggression (e.g., Taylor Aggression Paradigm).
- Successful completion of background check and, if applicable, pre‑employment physical and drug screen.
