Job Title: Visiting Scholar - HCS

Department: FAES | Horticulture and Crop Science

The Department of Horticulture and Crop Science within the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES), located in Kottman Hall, is seeking a Visiting Scholar for a temporary appointment of less than one year. This position provides hands‑on experience supporting research activities in weed science, including field, greenhouse, and laboratory work, along with opportunities to contribute to independent research projects.

• Assist with the planning, setup, and execution of weed science field trials
• Collect, record, and manage research data with accuracy and attention to detail
• Provide support in laboratory, greenhouse, and field environments
• Participate in general research activities and provide assistance as needed
• Maintain research equipment and ensure compliance with safety and operational protocols
• Contribute to or develop an independent research project (opportunity based on interest and performance)

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field
