Research Scientist, Clinical Research
Post-Doctoral Scholar to pursue independent and specialized research training and experience under the guidance of a scientific mentor in the Center for the Advancement of Team Science, Analytics, and Systems Thinking in Health Services and Implementation Science Research (CATALYST); collaborates with Principal Investigator (PI) on research investigating topics related to information technology innovations in healthcare, quality improvement and patient safety, and population health management;
prepares oral presentations for national and international scientific conferences, workshops and seminars; writes and submits manuscripts, articles and research reports for publication in peer-reviewed journals; seeks opportunities for external funding and takes a lead in developing research proposals for submission; participates as co-investigator as appropriate in new research grant submissions; develops projects, collects data, and conducts qualitative and quantitative analysis in new research projects designed as pilot work for new grant submissions;
participates in bi‑monthly research team meetings to coordinate ongoing and new research projects; participates in training and oversight of students; additional duties may be assigned based on needs of ongoing and new research projects.
Minimum
Education and Experience Requirements:
PhD or equivalent degree in Health Management and Policy, Health Services or related field required. Requires successful completion of a background check; selected candidate may be requested to complete a pre‑employment physical including a drug screen.
Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post‑offer process.
