Job Title
Student Assistant 2 - SENR
DepartmentFAES | School of Environment and Natural Resources-JM
Position OverviewWe are seeking to hire 2-4 part time forestry research technicians (20 hrs/week) for the summer 2026 field season. Work will take place between May 11 and August 14. Job duties include assisting with field data collection, data entry/processing, and preliminary analysis.
Field Data Collection Tasks- Conducting inventories of trees, herbaceous plants, and fuels
- Tree grading
- Soil sampling
- LiDAR scanning

Hours:
10 - Shift: First Shift
Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process.
