Chemistry Subject Matter Expert (AI Training) About The Role

Remote - Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
- Design rigorous, advanced chemistry problems to test and benchmark AI performance across domains such as chemical engineering, biochemistry, and physical chemistry
- Develop clear, step-by-step solutions with thorough logical reasoning
- Evaluate AI-generated outputs for scientific accuracy, depth, and quality of reasoning
- Collaborate with researchers to refine and improve benchmarks spanning undergraduate to Master's-level chemistry topics
- Provide structured, actionable feedback to help AI systems reason more like expert scientists
- Pursuing or holding a Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a closely related field
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills across advanced chemistry domains
- Able to communicate complex scientific ideas clearly and precisely in writing
- Detail‑oriented with the ability to critically assess reasoning quality
- Self‑motivated and comfortable working independently and asynchronously
- No prior AI experience required
- Experience with data annotation, data quality review, or evaluation frameworks
- Familiarity with large language models or AI research workflows
- Background spanning multiple chemistry sub‑disciplines
- Work on cutting‑edge AI projects in collaboration with world‑leading research labs
