Research Senior Associate will function as a specialist or technical expert in molecular biology and organoid research. Responsibilities of the Research Senior Associate will be to:
- collaborate with Principal Investigator (PI) to develop, manage and implement research projects;
- design and conduct complex experiments utilizing cell lines and organoid models;
- plan and execute advanced molecular biological and biochemical procedures such as cell and organoid culture, realtime PCR, immunofluorescence, immunoblot, ELISA, and cloning techniques;
- analyze and evaluate experimental data;
- develop and implements new or revised research methods;
- assist PI in research & development efforts of new research projects;
- plan and write abstracts and manuscripts for publication in scientific journals;
- attend and present research results at national scientific conferences and workshops;
- actively contribute to developing, writing, editing and critiquing research grant proposals;
- oversee appropriate maintenance of laboratory equipment and purchasing of reagents; and
- implement laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Safety Manual and ensure compliance to local, state and federal laboratory guidelines.
Master's Degree or equivalent experience required; 3 years of relevant experience required with Bachelor's Degree, or 1 year of relevant experience required with Master's Degree. PhD preferred
