Laboratory Technician
The College of Pharmacy at The Ohio State University is seeking applications for a Laboratory Technician.
This research technician position involves the design and synthesis of chemical compounds for study against various diseases. The individual in this role will use synthetic chemistry knowledge and organic chemistry reactions to prepare new compounds in the laboratory. The position requires a knowledge of chemical principles and application of synthetic reactivity to execute and troubleshoot chemical reactions for the generation of compounds that will be screened for biological activity.
Minimum Qualifications and
Experience:
High School diploma or GED. 1 year of relevant experience required. Successful completion of organic chemistry coursework is required.
Desired Qualifications and
Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Pharmaceutical Sciences (or a closely related discipline). Experience working/volunteering in a chemistry lab and carrying out chemical reactions desired.
The pay range for this job profile is $15.86 - $20.74. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.
