Post Doctoral Scholar to pursue specialized research training, education and experience under the guidance of a scientific mentor in the Shin lab within the Department of Neurology; plans, designs and executes experiments of considerable scope and complexity in the assigned research lab; collects and analyzes data for research sponsored by appropriate agencies and Institutions; identifies and selects problems to be studied;

develops and troubleshoots new experimental techniques and protocols; attends research seminars; contributes to manuscript preparation and supports technical writing; participates in preparation of grant applications for extramural funding; performs additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Education & Experience

Required:

To be considered for this Postdoctoral Scholar position, candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Neuroscience or relevant field requires applicants to demonstrate strong research skills, data analysis proficiency, and statistical expertise, coupled with exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Successful candidates will have a proven ability to collaborate effectively within diverse teams while also showcasing independent research capabilities and a strong trajectory towards research productivity, including peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations.

Requires successful completion of a background check; qualified candidates may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen.
