Position Summary :
The Pool Grill Cook is responsible for preparing and executing a high-quality, efficient concession operation during the outdoor pool season. This role ensures food safety, speed of service, and a positive member experience in a fast-paced summer environment.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Prepare and cook menu items including grilled and fried foods
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards at all times
- Ensure proper food storage and temperature control
- Open and close grill station daily
- Monitor inventory and communicate ordering needs
- Minimize waste and control portions
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Follow all JCC policies and kosher requirements as applicable
- Monday–Thursday: 11:00am – 8:00pm
- Friday: 11:00am – 5:00pm
- Sunday: 11:00am – 8:00pm
- Closed Saturdays
Evening and Sunday availability required.
Qualifications- Prior grill or line cook experience required
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices
- Ability to work outdoors in summer conditions
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable attendance throughout entire season
